A project funded by the European Union

The ICARE project results from a 5-year contract signed on July 1st 2010 between the European Commission represented by the EU Delegation in China and ParisTech as the project coordinator. The general budget amounts to about EUR 13.371 millions and is EU-funded up to 70%. The Chinese Government funds infrastructures and possibly related equipments.

The project was extended for 30 additional months until mid November 2017 and MINES ParisTech took over the coordination and signed an amended Grant contract with the EU Delegation in December 2015 when ParisTech was dissoluted.

The European project team is composed of the main following persons partly in Wuhan and in Europe (France):


Prof Didier Mayer, Director of the Department for Energy and Processes in MINES ParisTech, is the project coordinator in Paris and participates to the delivery of master courses in HUST.



Prof Michel Farine is the European co Dean of the Institute in HUST, Wuhan.





Ms JI Shali, assistant of the European co Dean




Mr Michel Aublant is the Vocational Training Manager in Wuhan




Mr Guillaume Macaux is the European Project Manager in Paris.



The Chinese project team is composed of the main following persons:
